Guided Electrical Requests
Question paths for troubleshooting, lighting, panel upgrades, EV chargers and generators that collect the details your estimator needs.
We design and build an electrician booking app that lets residential customers describe the problem, send a photo of their panel, choose a visit time and follow their job through permit, install and inspection without chasing your office.
An electrical request can mean anything from a dead outlet to a full 200 amp service upgrade. The first conversation decides whether you send a service electrician with a stocked van or an estimator with a clipboard, and a generic booking form cannot make that call. It needs to know the panel brand, the age of the house and whether the customer smells something burning.
Safety also changes the design. A homeowner reporting a warm outlet cover or a sparking breaker should be told to shut off power and call right away, not offered a slot next Thursday. A custom app can build those warnings into the request itself.
In a typical shop, the office takes a call about a panel replacement, schedules an estimate, and then the job disappears into a chain of steps the customer never sees: load calculation, permit application, utility coordination for the meter pull, the install day and the rough or final inspection. Every step can slip, and each slip creates a phone call.
Photos are another weak point. Estimators often ask customers to text a picture of the panel label or the garage wall where an EV charger will go. Those texts land on a personal phone, never reach the job file, and the estimator asks again on site.
Simple service calls suffer differently. A customer books troubleshooting for a tripping breaker, the electrician runs late on a previous job, and nobody updates the arrival time until the customer calls to complain.
For urgent problems, homeowners search for an electrician nearby and call whoever can come soonest. For planned work like an EV charger, a generator hookup or a panel upgrade, they often collect two or three quotes and compare how clearly each contractor explains the job, the permit and the price.
That second group is where a self-service app earns its place. A customer who can upload photos, see when the estimate visit is, and later follow the permit and inspection steps feels looked after. That clarity is often what separates the contractor who wins the quote from the one who sends a number by email and goes quiet.

Prompts the customer to photograph the open panel, the label and the install location, attached straight to the job.
Burning smells, hot outlets or sparking breakers trigger shutoff advice and a direct call button instead of a booking slot.
Customers choose from open slots and get reminders to clear access to the panel, attic or garage.
Clear steps for permit, install, utility work and inspection so customers stop calling to ask where things stand.
Quotes, invoices and inspection results stored in the customer's account for later reference.
A homeowner who just ordered an electric vehicle opens the app and chooses EV charger installation. The app asks for the charger model if they have one, a photo of the main panel with the door open, a photo of the panel label, and the distance from the panel to the parking spot.
The office reviews the photos, spots a 100 amp panel that is nearly full, and books an estimate visit. The customer picks a time from open slots and receives a reminder the day before asking them to clear access to the panel and garage wall.
After the quote is accepted, the status screen moves through permit submitted, permit approved, install scheduled, installed and inspection passed. When the utility needs to disconnect service for the panel work, the app tells the customer the date and that power will be off for part of the day.
We would need your list of service types as customers think of them, such as outlets and switches, lighting, ceiling fans, breaker tripping, panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, surge protection and smoke detector work. For each, tell us whether you send a service electrician directly or an estimator first.
We also need your service area, your scheduling rules, the wording you use for diagnostic or trip fees, and the safety messages you want shown for urgent symptoms. If you run ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro or a similar platform, a login for our team lets us confirm which statuses the app can display automatically and which your office will update by hand.
We price mobile apps from $4,500 upward. The largest cost drivers are the dispatch integration, the number of request types with their own photo and question flows, and how many project stages you want customers to see. A three step status for service calls is far simpler than a full permit and inspection tracker.
We usually suggest launching with service call booking, photo requests for estimates and a basic status screen. Online deposits, financing for generators and multi-property access for landlords can follow once you see how customers use the first release. Scope and price are confirmed in writing before any build begins.
Only if those steps are recorded in your field service platform in a way we can read. Many shops update them by hand in an admin panel, which takes a few seconds and still saves the follow-up calls.
Certain answers, such as a burning smell or sparking, show shutoff guidance and a button to call your emergency line or 911. The request is still logged so the office can follow up.
We can let first-time customers submit a request with just a phone number and email, then invite them to set up an account once the job is booked.
Yes. Your customers carry both, so the app ships to the App Store and Google Play. Native Swift and Kotlin are options, though for a booking app a single Flutter codebase is usually the more economical route.
Use a free scoping call to show us your request types, estimate process and permit steps, and we will turn them into a plan for your electrician booking app.
